First of all, I’d like to acknowledge that this is my 100th post on this site!!! This site got over 1,500,000 hits over the last year!!! I have truly enjoyed posting fitness info for you all, getting your feedback, reading your comments and (trying to) respond to them all! I would like to thank you all for following this blog over the last year, and hope you all enjoy it as much as I enjoy writing it for you!!!!

Ok, back to the workout stuff!

The Following video is a demonstration of a great abs exercise that you can do at home!

Here are my TOP 5 tips to help you get a six pack FAST!!!

1. DO NOT TRAIN ABS EVERYDAY!!!
I ALWAYS hear people saying that its ok to train abs everyday, that is pharmaceutical grade bullshit! are just like any other muscle. You wouldn’t train legs every day so why would it make sense to train abs every day? I train my abs 2-3 times per week. If your just starting out, you should do even less. As rule of thumb, after you workout a body part, wait till your 100% not sore before you train that body part again.

2. YOU CAN NOT BURN FAT IN ONLY ONE SPOT!!!
there is no such thing as spot reduction. If you workout your abs and get them strong, they still may not show if you have a layer of fat on them. People think that just doing ab workouts will help them lose there guts, but it does not work like that. You can’t just make it disappear from your waist alone.
When you increase your exercise time and moderately cut back on calories, your body will start to burn some of your stored fat for energy. The result is fat loss… everywhere. When you drop enough fat for your six-pack to show.

3. YOU HAVE TO EAT RIGHT!!!
you cannot out-train a bad diet!!!!! Abs are made in the kitchen and not the gym. Diet is responsible for 90% of your results! In order to burn the fat that is covering up your abs you need a good diet and a solid strength training program backing it up. Here is some FREE info to get your started! 

4. DO MORE CARDIO
I strongly recommend your try HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) cardio. It burns WAY more fat in far less time than traditional cardio. A study at Laval University in Quebec, Canada found that HIIT cardio helped trainees loose nine (yes, 9!) times more fat than those who trained the traditional way (moderate speed for 20-60 minutes). Combine HIIT with your weight program and you boost your metabolism through the roof!

5. DRINK MORE WATER!!!
Since our bodies are over 70% water, drinking water is essential for optimal health. Water helps prime the body for fat loss, as well as flush out harmful toxins. Not drinking enough can lead to a water imbalance in the body, which can increase your risk of disease. Water is the ONLY thing I ever Drink (and alcohol a few nights a week).       I get literally HUNDREDS of questions a day via this blog, youtube, FB, Twitter and Email. Its hard to keep up with them all, yours must have slipped trew the cracks, sorry bro!!!!

  2. Hey man you are the best !i have a question: i do cardio at home,eat,then i rest for 2 hours,after i go to the gym and do my abs.Is bad what i do?

      What your doing is cool i guess, butI think you should wake up, Hit the weights, THEN do cardio, then eat. thats what I do everyday!

        Can I start of by saying that you have a stunning body and that I admire your passion for music =)

        I’ve tried my best, working out quiete hard for 3 months now but haven’t noticed any changes at all. My legs are a bit more ripped but other than that it’s pretty much the same.

        Should I train in the morning? And if so, should I do weights first and then Hit or treadmill?

    -What do you recommend me to do for muscle mass building
    I heard I should eat alot then bit by bit gain muscle mass and burn the fat away

    -Or should I do like those bodybuilders do? Like being fatasses for a few months and then cut?

    And did you know that ppl posted your pictures on a gay site lol?

  5. Hey Brandon! Good idea to use a towel! You can also use a dumbbell with a little weight, not too tight so that it can roll!

    • Whats Up Fabian! “How long it takes” will depend on where your at now, and your diet. You should start to see noticeable results with in 2 weeks! keep me posted on your progress homie!

    like how do i burn fat…and alot
    i know running and jogging but if i run on the tredmile for 15min a day would i see my abs in about 2 or 3 weeks?…

  11. hey Brandon, you say you wake up and do weights and cardio on an empty stomach and then eat? if so then how do you have any energy to workout and surely you will be burning into your muscle stores as well by doing this?
    if its actually good for you then I might try it my self but I cant bare the thought of working out hungry lol

    after done this 15 min ab workout video that u have, my abs only hurts like 5-10 mins ? and yeah i did all the things right.. so should i do this everyday ? not sure if its meant to hurt!

  15. Hey Brandon, I’ve just gotten back to working out on a regular basis, finally in that unstopable mindset haha Hopefully I see some results :)

    • it depends on the person, weight, size, diet, etc… but you should start to see some results in about 2 weeks of hard work.
